Guerillascope gives clients a little bit more than the average media agency.

They’re up-front and honest, and aim to squeeze as much value as possible from a client budget. They commit themselves to crafting the perfect media plan, producing the smartest ideas and keeping it all within budget.

Quite often, when a business is dedicated to marketing other companies, their own marketing can fall by the wayside. Guerillascope decided to take some action, and approached a number of agencies to develop a timely, 30-second TV ad to pitch Guerilascope to potential clients. Arch Creative won the pitch with the video you can see here.

Tight turnaround time

The brief came with a few caveats. It was an incredibly tight turnaround time – with a full-scale ad needed within two weeks. The ad would only be running on Sky News – could that factor into the creative? It would also be running during the pandemic, and would potentially need to reference particular government guidelines and other time-relevant information.

Gorilla Animation

Using a script we developed alongside Guerillascope, we illustrated and animated a colourful film featuring (you guessed it) a gorilla. The idea of the gorilla as a personification of the brand is a simple, yet effective concept, and allowed us to transport our animated ape into different settings – including the sky news studio. This covered off one of the difficulties Guerillascope had been wrestling with.

Our in-house illustrators and animators worked tirelessly to get the ad turned around within the tight time frame. The ad aired on Sky News in 2020, leading to lots of inbound enquiries, and raising a smile along the way.
