Eden Network are building systems to fight the bots
The world of crypto currency is fast paced and constantly evolving, with new and exciting technology introduced to help users stay ahead of the game. Eden Network provide a way to explore this world with tools to give you that edge.
Arch were approached to shine a light on these tools by creating a dynamic new brand, informative websites, and quirky social media graphics.
The concept for Eden was a safe space, as Dark Forest Theory explains that in the unknown you must treat everyone as an enemy to keep yourself from harm. In the crypto space, openly trading opens you up to a world of unknowns, including bots designed to strike before you get your chance.
We present Eden as it’s own isolated place, guarded from the dangers of the outside world and being all the more bountiful for it.
This was the perfect project for the team to break out their skills working with 3D and bring the Eden island to life.
In crypto, sandwiches are less of a delicious lunch and more of a way to exploit public knowledge, drive up value, and make a tasty profit. The trouble is the filling is made of disappointment and someone that’s been stepped on. In reality this can lead to user losing a significant amount of money without ever knowing about it and Eden wanted to help these users in the future.
To soften the blow, Arch created a series of animations to announce if they had lost any money on these trades. Like opening a greeting card, except Nan had decided to not only keep the £20 gift, but invoice you for her trip to the bank.
Developing further on another project, a new mascot and face for Eden was born. Nicknamed “Cookie”, a full 3D version of the character was created and rigged for animation, allowing us to do… well, anything. They dance, control elements, shoot down space ships, and one time even attacked a panda (it’s a long story).
Since their creation, the character has appeared in numerous different promotional and informative social media posts, cementing themselves as an extra member of the Eden team.
The dark forest can be a lonely place, which is why Eden are keen to build a community for their users. Arch were tasked with creating a library of entertaining assets for use on all of the newest tools for social engagement; Twitter, Telegram, and Discord. This came with the opportunity to have a bit of fun ourselves through deliberately crude animation, exaggerated expressions, and just plain nonsense.
Using the “Cookie” 3D model and a choice selection of GIFs as a base, the Eden community now have a small armoury of reactions, both as larger gifs and as smaller Discord message reactions.
