On Saturday morning, the Arch Creative team were all in the same boat; hoisted early from our beds to Foxton Locks for our first ever voyage on a “Foxy” narrowboat.

Fortune shone on us along with the scorching sun, making it a perfect day to enjoy the beautiful Leicestershire countryside. From Foxton to Fleckney, Darren and Gavin were at the helm and steered us to safety (with the occasional diversion into a bramble bush) while the rest of us sat back, relaxed, and got gradually sunburnt.

We enjoyed the day so much that our scheduling went a teeny bit awry, arriving back late and being scolded for our timing mishap. But we paid our dues and left with merry moods and a mountain of food that will now provide office leftovers for the week!
