We’ve recently helped our ongoing charity partnership, Soft Touch Arts, complete a fresh new re-brand.
For more than 25 years, Soft Touch Arts has been using arts, media and music to engage with the city and county’s most vulnerable and disadvantaged children and young people. Each year, the organisation reaches more than 1,000 young people, delivering creative projects in community venues, on the street and using its mobile music studio.
In preparation for their move into 50 New Walk later this year, Arch Creative have worked closely with the Soft Touch Arts volunteers and young people to create a new brand vision.
Soft Touch Arts were keen to retain their original hand-cut typography to show their hand-made, artisan approach and maintain a sense of continuity and heritage. To work with the typography, Arch Creative have created a new logo shape which reflects two of the main aspects of Soft Touch; music and art. The combined plectrum and artists palette form has been created to give a relevant sense of identity, and is a shape which can be used as a graphic device throughout their promotional literature and will ultimately become recognisable and synonymous with Soft Touch Arts.
