Wow! Leicester has made it through to the final four cities as the potential UK City of Culture 2017!
Leicester will now go head to head with Hull, Dundee and Swansea Bay, having beaten off stiff competition from city’s including Chester, Hastings, Portsmouth and Southampton. The chosen city will succeed Londonderry, which was awarded the title for 2013.
Leicester’s bid has included the city’s cultural diversity, heritage and history covering art, craft, design, film, music and theatre. Arch Creative are nestled in the centre of the city’s Cultural Quarter in the heart of the UK (and just across the road from Curve theatre) so this is particularly exciting news for us!
